Homemade Hot Chocolate Mix

This homemade hot chocolate mix is the perfect gift to give in a jar because no one can resist a tasty mug of this liquid gold on a chilly, wintry night.

With all the fabulous cocoas out there on the market, you can add some great flavour to this recipe. Replace the 1/2c of unsweetened cocoa with dark chocolate, milk chocolate or white chocolate cocoa for a tasty twist on this drink.

Spoon the mix into a quart sized canning jar and tie on a tag with the recommended serving size. For a thoughtful touch, why not also tie on a small cellophane bag with mini marshmallows in it? Nummers.

Mix the following ingredients together in a small bowl

- 3 cups of powdered milk
- 3/4 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa (or another specialty cocoa
- dash of salt

Use 2-3 T in a mug of hot water and enjoy.
